Right?<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
The kids and I planted a bunch of seeds on April 4. The awesome news is, most of them have really taken off. The Uh-Oh news is, the pumpkins are growing way too fast and spring isn't getting here fast enough. Also, we have four pumpkin plants growing inside, and probably nowhere to plant them outside. Most of what I have growing inside will get planted at the farm, since it was my mom who bought the seeds for pumpkins and watermelons for the kids anyway. I just don't have anywhere big enough to plant them, and still have room for other plants.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br />I made a thing. It's a pouf. I found a pattern online (by <a href="https://closetcasepatterns.com/" target="_blank">closet case patterns</a>) and decided to embark on a pretty adventurous journey. My sewing skills are okay, and my machine is temperamental. But I did it! Spread it out over a few days, and actually followed directions (who am I?) and it turned out lovely. I was planning on using it as a foot stool for my upstairs chair, but the kids have already laid claim.</div>

Overall, I'm really proud of myself for how this turned out. I did struggle with the zipper, but glad I properly took it out and reinstalled it. I doubt I will do a lot of other sewing projects for awhile, but this was fun. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Our Easter was pretty low-key. Jason worked yesterday, so we didn't have any fancy meals. But we did eat supper in our blanket fort yesterday, so that was fun.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The kids had a treasure hunt to find their Easter baskets yesterday and they really enjoyed that.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Our schooling is pretty slow. Zoe has started taking up sewing and made a pillow for her Barbies, which is impressive. William is still working on all the Lego. Which he enjoys doing on the stairs for some strange reason.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I hope everyone has been enjoying some sunny weather now and again, even if it's still freezing. </div>

And I think I have the time to finally write again!<br />
<br />
We've been homeschooling. It's a VERY loose term. We generally school Monday to Thursday, just like Zoe's Kindergarten schedule was. We start around 9 and end somewhere between 10:30 and 11:30 depending on the activities.<br />
<br />
We're doing it for a few reasons. I enjoy the structure, it really helps me get the day started. Zoe enjoys it, and a few things were very Zoe led to begin with. During Kindergarten they had done journals (drawings and some letters) and she really enjoys doing that still, which is how we start our day.<br />
<br />
I also like planning for the week. I'm not coaching right now, and I fully enjoy using my creativity to plan a schedule for the week. Today was a 'Music Monday'. To fit in that category, our story was 'Old MacDonald had a Farm' and our craft was shaker bottles. Zoe liked story time at school, and was a bit disappointed that I did not have a carpet for her to sit on. We do have a fluffy blanket and that has become our storytime blanket. It has also become Jackman's favourite place to lay down, and takes full advantage of it the second I lay it on the floor.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhylA7fIMwls0u4OR88DwjHtwEVAcHe5eICAd-ozhH9bPZi_zRYI1Ku81LIrMri9vb42XUTgtY7idbWl_YVAKnNcFEQ0gzCFwkqLUWO16wZfFLzPnYvutnfJKjlPACLu2N27ahHGp52dGyw/s1600/20200330_110137.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="900" data-original-width="1600" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhylA7fIMwls0u4OR88DwjHtwEVAcHe5eICAd-ozhH9bPZi_zRYI1Ku81LIrMri9vb42XUTgtY7idbWl_YVAKnNcFEQ0gzCFwkqLUWO16wZfFLzPnYvutnfJKjlPACLu2N27ahHGp52dGyw/s320/20200330_110137.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The shaker bottle was water bottles I pulled out of recycling, then we put food colouring in uncooked rice, made a small mess, and filled the bottles with rice, beads, googly eyes, sticks and pom-poms. Ta-da - Music!<br />
<br />
We ended schooling by 10:30 this morning, as Zoe was very done and had a melt down while we were doing the bird dance.<br />
<br />
At first, we didn't really have an official way to end the school part of our day, and it was confusing for us. Now we have a song that we play when we're done, and then we usually have some quiet time. I feel like Zoe is very done with me by that part.<br />
<br />
William participates when he likes. Usually he listens to story time, occasionally does some crafting, and always dances or works out with us.<br />
<br />
And if we don't get something done in a day? Then that's okay. I have a bin for crafts that are half-finished because the kids were just not interested.<br />
<br />
We are now starting distance learning to, and since (Thank Goodness!) it's only Kindergarten the activities are mainly play based and a lot of what we are already doing (storytime, movement activities, journaling).<br />
<br />
I am grateful for the fact that it is only Kindergarten and I wasn't thrown into a situation where it was schooling beyond my knowledge or recollection. And that it's only one kid. I have much to be thankful for right now, as Zoe also willingly participates. Though I have noticed her moods are starting to swing a bit, as this situation is really starting to wear on her. She is very social and I know it's tough that she can't do that part of school, as it was her favourite.<br />
<br />
Aside from that? It's pretty dull. I'm a bit of an emotional rollercoaster now and again. I've noticed that since I'm home all morning, it's really easy for me to finish an entire pot of coffee. And I suck at eating in the morning. By lunch I end up being a jittery mess and get pretty snappy, and usually have to go hide.<br />
<br />
And the lack of adult contact can be draining when Jason is working long days. I feel like I forget how to have a conversation. Or I just end up having a lot of conversations with myself, which I'm sure is not crazy at all.<br />
<br />
I've definitely had mornings where I have been unsettled and have no idea what to do with myself. I pulled all my yarn out of it's bin one morning last week. Sat and stared at it. Then left it all over my bedroom floor for most of the day. The kids gave me trouble for making a mess.<br />
<br />
I do have a new plant though I'm very excited about. It's a teeny venus fly trap. In a clear skull planter. Well it was a candle holder, but I think it works better this way.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo6xv8DoemiSzSXTT8_vv_gYwnvKC6HhQIliNbnRQiz3hhQJMfEdYbyfeP4gXBQ7oY2IyhuLJHmY5hzmGaX0z44QiLDvAa53qMFOXSttFQE8lAqPsQHkiXKJCEJJtm5fbtXWEbhcBUVy1U/s1600/20200330_112735.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="900" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjo6xv8DoemiSzSXTT8_vv_gYwnvKC6HhQIliNbnRQiz3hhQJMfEdYbyfeP4gXBQ7oY2IyhuLJHmY5hzmGaX0z44QiLDvAa53qMFOXSttFQE8lAqPsQHkiXKJCEJJtm5fbtXWEbhcBUVy1U/s320/20200330_112735.jpg" width="180" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
I think I will use this blog again to make updates on what is happening in our little house. Gives me another thing to do, yay!<br />
<br />
Hope everyone out there is doing okay and making do with their situation.<br />
<br />
Peace & Love<br />

Zoe is down for a nap.<br />
<br />
Nap time has not been so easy peasy as of late. Yesterday I let Zoe just hang out in her room for quiet time (which I hoped would turn into nap time, because I like to dream big). After 45 minutes she started knocking on her door so I opened it.<br />
She announced she was "All Done" and strolled out totally nude.<br />
<br />
Wearing clothes is another thing Zoe isn't fond of lately. She has become surprisingly efficient at removing them.<br />
The other day she came up to me just wearing pants, so I told her to go find her shirt and put it back on. She said okay and walked back to find it. Or so I thought.<br />
She came back up to me a minute later with no shirt AND no pants, but thankfully, her pull-up remained on. Later when I found her pants, they had gained a mysterious wet spot. And mysterious it remained, because like all other unknowns, the washing machine usually takes care of it.<br />
<br />
If you ever see my kid running around naked, there is a good chance I did dress her once, possibly three times that day, but at some point I gave up. Because as far as I know, it's frowned upon to tape your kids clothes on. But not illegal right?<br />
<br />
Her words are getting better, she's almost at sentences. Common phrases are 'What happened?", "All done", and "Found it."<br />
There's no asking why around here, as Zoe thinks she has everything pretty figured out. "Right there" and "Come on", being two more of the mini bosses commands.<br />
<br />
She does love her brother though. She's not terrible at sharing and does try to entertain him when he's crying or in his exersaucer.<br />
<br />
William is a whopping 6 months old now. He's pretty pro at sitting up, and does enjoy feeding himself crackers. He also really loves Jackman and watching him play fetch. No teeth yet, but if I had to judge by the amount of chomping, I'd say he's getting close.<br />
<br />
Both kids and myself have had a cold for the past week, and are pulling through it just fine. Though it did make some of the nights a little harder and we moved Williams swing into our room for a bit just to get some sleep.<br />
<br />
In non-kid news Jason has about 3 weeks left of school and I have about 3 weeks left until Christmas break. It's been a bit hectic the last couple months, so we may start counting down days soon.<br />
<br />
I've started putting up Christmas decorations, but it's really just more things for Zoe to play with. And right now, anything that falls on the floor and can be crumpled, is obviously garbage, so that's where she puts it.<br />
One day I will appreciate her tidiness, until then, everything I just had and can't find, is probably in the garbage.<br />
<br />
That is all for now.<br />

Even as I'm writing this, I'm wondering if I should post, because the words aren't flowing very well, and I have to keep backspacing some really bad typing.<br />
<br />
William, thankfully, is usually a good sleeper but for a few nights in a row this week he decided that he was starving. So going onto day three of sleep deprivation, I ended up standing in an elevator, finger hovering over which button to press, for a good minute. The sad part is, it was a building with two floors, so I only really had one option. The other coach with me had to tell me which button to press.<br />
And the best part is, they still let me on the ice, and trusted I knew what I was talking about.<br />
<br />
As a mom though, I do enjoy my me time, and even though I should be sleeping right now, since it seems William went down early, *touch wood*, I'm not. I am sitting here, loving the fact that at this moment, no one desperately needs me. And that is so fantastic.<br />
<br />
Along with Cheerios and stickers, Zoe's other most used decorating tool is a marker. I decided to be a free spirit the other day and let her have some markers that she received for birthday. Washable my arse. The second I turn away to look at William, she draws on herself. Of course, she's only two, so it's really not surprising. The fact that she bit the tip off one marker was a little more surprising. I thought she had passed the stage of tasting her colouring supplies. I thought wrong. Until I was able to get around to cleaning her up, she looked like the Joker for a bit, with red marker smeared across her cheek. I found it mildly entertaining.<br />
For the time being, the markers have been put out of sight, until another rainy day.<br />
<br />
The Rubiks cube has also been put away, as Zoe 'showed' it to William by shoving it under his face while he was having tummy time. Poor kid. He seems to be in a real hurry to become mobile and I truly don't blame him. The ability to defend himself against his well-meaning sister would really come in handy.<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Big Bill and Little Billy</td></tr>

<br />
He's not far off though. He'll be 4 months next week, and already he can roll across the living room floor. He loves being propped up to sitting, as well as practicing his standing. Since he came out longer than his sister and is growing steadily, my thought is that he is hoping to use his size to intimidate her. Best of luck, but I don't see that happening, Zoe is afraid of nothing.<br />
Zoe can also climb like a monkey so height means nothing to her.<br />
<br />
<br />
She managed to use her tricycle to climb into the bottom of the double stroller the other day, and then up into the top seat. Of course she did all this while I had my back turned, cleaning up the plant she knocked down. It was clearly a diversion tactic.<br />

<br />
Not a lot else to report, just the usual antics of parenthood.<br />
<br />
Jason will be starting school on Monday, and our Nanny (Kelsey), is working out quite well. The kids have both really taken to her.<br />
Now that William is starting his move into mobility, Jackman has taken more notice of him and likes to give him kisses.<br />

Most times I don't get past the first line, and sometimes I open a new draft, laugh, and shut my laptop.<br />
This one I actually got half way through three days ago, and then needed a break.<br />
<br />
So if anyone is wondering things are going along quite well over here.<br />
<br />
William has started sleeping through the night, so yay! Though I'm sure I jinxed it right there. The little man is a funny one. He's definitely a good baby, much like Zoe, but in no way is he like Zoe.<br />
<br />
I've been lucky to spend lots of time with him this summer, and we've developed a lovely bond. And by that I mean he doesn't like bottles. Zoe took a bottle (even from me) like no big deal. William eventually takes one, but he does let you know first that he is not happy about it.<br />

Loves to chat and squirm about. "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" can almost make him giggle. I never found the humour in it, but apparently he gets it. He is getting close to rolling over, and enjoys sucking on blankets and his bottom lip.</span><br />

<br />
<br />
Zoe is very enthralled with her little brother. When she is not trying to feed him rocks or claim everything as hers, she can be very thoughtful. The other day when he was fussing in his swing and I was getting ready for our walk, she found a toy of his and gave it to him, along with his blanket. But then later she woke him up, by taking his blanket. It's very give and take around here.<br />
<br />
Zoe turned two last Monday, and then had lots of fun on Saturday celebrating her birthday. We lucked out with some nice weather and it was a fun day for all. Zoe was of course spoiled rotten by everyone.<br />

Also, Zoe has started potty training. Well, we had a loose start a while back, but now we are heavy into it.<br />
In my defense, she's shown a lot of interest and I really didn't want to miss an opportunity. So far all I've learned is that it's much easier to potty train a dog than a child. And Jackman still pees on the floor when he gets excited so hopefully Zoe will learn from his mistakes.<br />
In case anyone feels envious of the awesome times at my house, William had two blow out diapers, and Zoe pooped beside her potty (so close!) just this day alone.<br />
If anyone has potty training tips, feel free to pass them on, because I will take all the advice I can get.<br />
<br />
Since Kiersty has taken off to Lethbridge this year, and screwed us over for childcare (just kidding, best of luck to Kiersty), we have hired a nanny for when I'm coaching. Tomorrow will be her first day, and we are all pretty excited.<br />
<br />
In non-child related news (we have some of that!) Jason is going back to school at the end of this month, for his last year (electrician). I'm sure he's going to ace it, like he does every time.<br />
<br />
And in less than a week my fabulous cousin Kim will be getting married, so I'm really looking forward to that awesome time. And there will be relatives here to visit and catch up with, which is always fun.<br />
<br />
Other than that, not much to talk about. I could ramble on about the little ones forever, but how about some pictures instead.<br />

He weighed in at 7lbs and is 21 inches long.<br />

<br />
<br />
Apparently after a very relaxed last few weeks he was in a hurry to get out.<br />
The first contraction came about 5:30pm, while we were still at Declin's birthday party. That was about the time I went home as I wasn't convinced though that it was the real deal. But by 7pm the contractions were 4 minutes apart. At this point Jason was using all his willpower to convince me that I could walk to the car.<br />
<br />
Once we got to the hospital, the contractions were closer to 2 minutes apart, and the second I got into triage before the nurse could even check me, my water broke and I stated that I was ready to push.<br />
So, by 8:32pm William was born, and then they finished checking us in to the hospital.<br />
<br />
I guess when my doctor was warning me to go in at the first sign of a contraction she was serious. But in my defence, I had almost nothing in any other labour symptoms. Which was very different from Zoe.<br />
But we made it just in time, and everyone is happy and healthy. And after 24 hrs, William and I were able to come home.<br />
<br />
Zoe at first wanted very little to do with the new addition. Upon meeting him in the hospital and informing her that he was going to come home with us, we received a very dirty look.<br />

<br />
<br />
But once he was home, curiosity took over and she seems to be quite interested in all his ears and toes. We're working on being gentle, as Zoe is fond of 'honking' noses right now, but William is not the least bit phased by her inquisitiveness.<br />
<br />
Jason is off work for two weeks now, so we are all settling in quite nicely and enjoying our new family dynamics.<br />
<br />
And here's an exciting game of 'find the toddler':<br />

I'm officially in the last month of pregnancy with #2. And I'm still on the ice coaching.<br />
I think it scares everyone but me. No worries, I've cut back on the amount of coaching I'm doing, and I don't try anything fancy. Both my feet stay firmly planted for the most part.<br />

<br />
I'm feeling decently well, little bit uncomfortable here and there, baby likes to stretch sideways and make me a little lopsided. When I compare my first pregnancy photo's with these ones, I've decided I need to start smiling more in these ones. Zoe must be wearing me out, because whenever I do remember to take a picture, I really don't look impressed. But I am enjoying it, and even as I'm typing this, it's so comforting to feel all the squirms and stretches going on.<br />
<br />
Zoe had a nice relaxing day inside today as the last few days have been so nice we've spent them mostly outside, and a lot of time at the farm.<br />
Jackman is very willing to share his kiddie pool with Zoe, and they both have lots of fun creating muddy, wet, grassy messes.<br />
<br />
Zoe is also quite the linguist these days, trying new words all the time. Not all of them makes sense, but she is opinionated. (and no one is surprised)<br />
She is growing up ridiculously fast, as she has had at least one pee on her potty four days in a row. I'm not really prepared for it, since the new little one is about to be a big change, but we're going to roll with it for now and see if it keeps going.<br />
<br />
Not too much else to report for now, things are busy as usual, and that's just the way we like it. :)<br />

<br />
Had the Easter weekend off from coaching, and was able to spend lots of time with the families.<br />
<br />
Zoe had a blast with her uncle's and cousin Izzy. Izzy tries so hard to 'mother' Zoe, and it's so cute, but Zoe has none of it.<br />

<br />
<br />
Zoe was lucky enough to be Izzy's 'friend' on 'bring-a-friend' day for her gymnastics class. And I learned that Zoe is not ready for organized and structured classes.<br />
It was lots of fun, but Zoe didn't want any of the sitting and listening to instructions, she just wanted to explore. And not the obstacle courses that were set out for her group, but every other thing.<br />
She ended up joining in here and there, and I think had a blast. I had a really good cardio workout, trying to keep her on task, and only semi-disruptive (she's cute, it's okay).<br />

Baby #2 is still growing stronger by the day. Pretty active, just like Zoe was, so my hope of a quiet child is slowly being dashed.<br />
Preggo wise, I'm feeling pretty good, had a full day off to stay home today, and I'm pretty impressed with all I accomplished. Though I've got to say, my hips are little more sore this time around than they were last time. But I have lots of heating pads and a great pillow set-up for sleeping so that helps. And I've been told it's normal, so I'm not concerned.<br />
I've also been told I look much bigger this time around, even in my face. I know a feel a lot more waddly.<br />

<br />
For most people this is not news (I'm never asking anyone I know to keep a secret. lol), but for a few of you it may be.<br />
<br />
And this news makes me 19 weeks and counting.<br />

<br />
So far this pregnancy is similar to the last one. The first trimester was a blur of nausea (aka: all the freakin' time sickness), and utter exhaustion. I remember being pregnant with Zoe made me tired. But being pregnant and chasing Zoe, makes me really tired.<br />
Seriously, the kid can move.<br />
But, I'm feeling much better these days, and just like last time, we are going to wait to find out the sex of baby #2. Keeps life interesting.<br />

And Jackman is still Jackman. He enjoys going out to the farm on Monday's when my parents babysit Zoe, and the rest of the time he spends bringing me toys or things that used to be toys.<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpm_3O7x5gCVAWIV83AEmuAGNg6ZhUSZycq4S1HWMVuM8wJvWH7Xw3Hi4dWk_OB2xMrITudTN7eimGLEBa4lAKkBCXKTSXmTWO1mQSpmuSX9Ng2Ipd9qgN_vgsaAv0RxBDJ4c6vLXRAOD_/s1600/20150701_105716.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpm_3O7x5gCVAWIV83AEmuAGNg6ZhUSZycq4S1HWMVuM8wJvWH7Xw3Hi4dWk_OB2xMrITudTN7eimGLEBa4lAKkBCXKTSXmTWO1mQSpmuSX9Ng2Ipd9qgN_vgsaAv0RxBDJ4c6vLXRAOD_/s320/20150701_105716.jpeg" width="240" /></a><br />
In a month Zoe has been to her first parade, on Canada Day. She seemed to enjoy it, but the most impressive part was she stayed awake for all of it.<br />

Camping being parking Gramma and Papa's trailer in front of the cabin at Columbia lake. Not quite roughing it, but a great time nonetheless. She got to play with her cousins which she loves. The little munchkin lights up anytime she sees another little person and has yet too make shy. She's even scared some kids off with her blunt inquisitiveness.<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimIXYUMmKYNU5qtdRT2r9PzyVXDEVWxYpmRcm2dA6qGv5RrJDJQfty2xVAw1tuB9ya2kiPQNQerRxeZ_jrMfxqBOy_5CNVE8sm3mJ0oaHx3NcYA5UqRzXR-xSLCUW2KgD74r_I4Oe0FNMc/s1600/20150704_124434+copyEDIT.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimIXYUMmKYNU5qtdRT2r9PzyVXDEVWxYpmRcm2dA6qGv5RrJDJQfty2xVAw1tuB9ya2kiPQNQerRxeZ_jrMfxqBOy_5CNVE8sm3mJ0oaHx3NcYA5UqRzXR-xSLCUW2KgD74r_I4Oe0FNMc/s400/20150704_124434+copyEDIT.jpeg" width="240" /></a><br />
<br />
And of course while camping, Zoe had her first time in the lake. She didn't want to go in if Mommy held her, but had lots of fun playing in the water with Gramma.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Zoe has started chasing Jackman around (seriously, he tries to hide but it just doesn't work). And her first word is sounding a lot like it will be Jack, or more accurately 'Dack'. Which is what she says anytime she sees a dog now.<br />
<br />
We had fun at a family reunion for Jason's mom's side a few weeks ago. Zoe was able to meet cousins she had never met before. There was a little boy there who is a week younger than Zoe and about ten pounds heavier. Zoe's petiteness did not stop her from taking all of his toys though. I've a feeling I need to talk to Zoe about sharing and personal space soon... not that I expect it to sink in.<br />
<br />
Speaking of Zoe's petiteness, we were out shopping the other day, and even though I had Zoe sitting in the front of the shopping cart, she was still referred to as a 'new baby'. They were quite shocked when I said she will be a year old soon.<br />
<br />
And on that note... OH MY GOODNESS SHE'S GOING TO BE A YEAR OLD SOON!!!!! How does that happen so fast? She's not a little baby anymore she's practically a toddler. She's not walking yet, but only because crawling is so much faster. She does really well holding on to things though, and keeps pushing the kitchen chairs everywhere and rearranging things.<br />
<br />
Of course I'm sure there's more to tell, as she learns new things almost daily right now, but I will leave it there. At the end of the month there will be a big party for her as she celebrates a whole year of being adorable.<br />

This video was taken about two weeks ago:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dyFXnnsm9YHxhV8po67xSLrcgiGw7e7aVKjHUMafmpd42rIx32GkWmBCw7gTq0cSA9-iKcZ4CTcTaWaejYpTA' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
Once she learned how wonderful crawling can be, there was no stopping her. Though she does still trip over her hands once in awhile, but it doesn't really slow her down.<br />
She's been pulling up onto things for about a month now, and she never really had the problem where she would get stuck. If she can't find a way to sit down gracefully she is totally okay with just letting go.<br />
This video was taken just yesterday (ignore the tv, but friends is always on here):<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dzFTsoWldHYbIoQZpStla-ICkdBBYh9_uvHMpWoo0j8h5XGhRlGrbXvAZYJCL8VAPpQ7Vl9pVZn3ugNXK-hHg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></div>
And a couple days ago she stood by herself for a full 5 seconds. I'm sure I'm just going to turn around one day and she'll be walking. And she's not even ten months yet.<br />
<br />
Other than chasing Zoe not a lot going on around here. Doing a little bit of coaching but nothing more than once or twice a week.<br />
Still waiting to get our fence put up. Any day now they will be showing up and putting it together and I will be so excited when it's done. It will even have a real gate that Jackman can't chew through.<br />
<br />
Zoe has a bit of a runny nose right now, but it hasn't affected her spirit yet.<br />
Proof of the picture below.<br />

She tried walking first, but once she figured out she couldn't do that on her own she gave in and started crawling.<br />
For someone who didn't want to crawl it's amazing how fast she can move now.<br />
She also enjoys pulling herself to standing on anything she can reach. She does try to stand on her own still. She'll get on hands and feet with butt in the air, but she really doesn't have the balance and ends up toppling sideways. Has yet to deter her from trying though. If you hold out your fingers she will gladly grab on and walk around the room with you.<br />

<br />
We took Zoe to the zoo the other week. She's still a little young for it, but enjoyed the bears when they got moving about and playing, same with the gorillas. Her favourite by far, was the meerkats. They're such busy little creatures and Zoe just wanted to reach out and grab one.<br />
<br />
She is 9 month's old now. And this upcoming weekend, I will be away and it will just be Zoe and Jason spending time together. I wish him luck.<br />
<br />
In other news I am still not safe to be in the kitchen. It's not that I can't cook, just that I shouldn't. I managed to splash boiling water onto my shirt while stirring veggies.<br />
Don't worry, Zoe is not in the kitchen while I cook.<br />
My burn isn't too terrible. Hurt a lot at first, but my first aid skills came in handy, and with any luck it shouldn't scar.<br />
<br />
And that's all the excitement in this house for now!<br />
<br />
Peace&Love<br />

That's not true, I know exactly why people don't believe me.<br />
I look 15 (16 at best). And then I go and put my hair in braids and don't wear make-up. Hello middle school, here I come. Actually most middle schoolers these days wear make-up and have better hairstyles.<br />
The point I'm trying to make is, ZOE IS MY KID. At least twice in the last month I've had people look right at me and go "Whose kid is this?". And when I say mine, they laugh and say, "No, seriously."<br />
If I keep getting this, I'm going to start screwing with people. It would probably be easier.<br />
<br />
Okay, now that I got that off my chest, I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.<br />
Our Easter consisted of three meals, spread over three days. Got to see lots of family, and Zoe had all of the attention and snuggles. And she had multiple outfits for every occasion of course.<br />

Zoe has been a bit of a rink rat lately. Followed me to a competition in Lethbridge to cheer on all the competitors. And not even a week later, came with me to a test day as moral support for the skaters. Nothing makes you feel as good as a Zoe snuggle. Competition went over pretty well, a good number of the skaters brought home medals, and a personal best for lots of the athletes.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm in the middle of short break before spring season starts, and it has been quite nice. I've even had days where I don't have to leave the house, and I've thoroughly enjoyed them. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Jason did a happy dance the other day. Zoe's babbles are now including "dada's", and she looked right at him and said just that. I'm not convinced she knows what it means... but she does enjoy the reaction she gets out of him when it happens.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The wee one is getting close to being mobile. She assumes the position to scoot, but then lunges forward and falls, getting stuck on her stomach. She'll get her arms moving from there to try and pull herself forward, but her legs stay stuck in the air. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
She cut her first tooth just over a week ago. And I'm sure there is another one on the way shortly, because the amount of drool is insane. You'd swear I sat her in a puddle some days, but it's one she creates herself.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
That's about all the news I have for now.</div>

She now sits by herself, and quite enjoys feeding herself crackers.<br />
She is also a lot messier. A lot. Crumbs every where, and sticky everything. Jackman tries to help with crumbs but even he can't find them all.<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<br />
The good news is, she has my independent streak. The bad news is, I'm not allowed to hand her the food she drops, she wants to pick it up herself. Life gets really frustrating when you are six months old and can't find the food you dropped because you're sitting on it.<br />
<br />
Skating is almost over for the winter season, so yay, break time for me. Get to spend a lot more time at home having Zoe snuggles, which I am looking forward to. Though I'm sure Zoe will miss spending Wednesday's out at the farm with Grandma, Papa, and Uncle Austin.<br />

Jason has finished round two of schooling for his electrician apprenticeship, and did very well. Quite proud of him, and he is happy to be back at work.<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Grandma Cindy went to the store for dog food the other day, and left with a whole new wardrobe for Zoe. Starting to think she needs to be supervised when she goes out shopping.</div>
<div>
But then again Zoe does look pretty rockin' in her new hat and sunglasses. Thanks Grandma!</div>

<div>
She has survived her first cold, though Grandma was extremely concerned. But the Little Bean is pretty tough.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Other than that not much has changed recently. Jason is still in school for the next little bit, and doing quite well. I'm still playing for a living, with some pretty adorable kids. Though I did have one kid talk to me in car noises for an entire session the other day. The weirder part was I understood what he was asking. Maybe I should start hanging out with adults more...</div>

Nope, I'm good.</div>

Except for last night.<br />
It seems that every time I need to be up early the next morning, Zoe decides she needs a midnight (or 4 am) snack.<br />
And here I was all excited that Zoe went down at like 10 pm and I got to go to bed early. Of course I then couldn't fall asleep until midnight. And then woke up at 2 to go pee anyway.<br />
Never, ever, get excited to go to bed and fall asleep, because it won't happen.<br />
And I'm going to blame my lack of sleep for me getting dates confused to. I totally thought Zoe's 4 month shots were today, and I've thought that all week. I even listened to the recording when they called to remind me that her shots were coming up.<br />
Turns out her shots were supposed to be tomorrow. Thankfully I got lucky and someone had cancelled so we got them done anyway. I guess it's better to be a day early than a day late.<br />
And I'm so glad the shots are all done for another two months. I know she needs them, and that in reality, it doesn't hurt her for that long, but I'm still not happy about holding her still while someone pokes her with sharp needles.<br />
But she is a very brave little pumpkin, and calmed down pretty fast, and was totally fine after a little snack. Now she is enjoying a lovely afternoon nap. The lucky duck.<br />

In other news, the dogs are getting along pretty well for the most part. Jackman is turning into a little bit of dick though. He enjoys taking Hunter's (our foster dog's) bones and toys and hiding them on him. Jackman doesn't even eat the bones, just makes sure Hunter can't get them, and then gets mad if Hunter tries to get them back. Jackman gets put in time out a lot.<br />
<br />
Jason is back in school for another little bit, and I'm back on the ice, doing all of the coaching. So life is good!<br />

<br />
We are doing wonderfully.<br />
<br />
Zoe's first Christmas was magical and fantastic. Well maybe not magical, because she had no idea anything was different, except there were more twinkly lights for her to look at.<br />
Christmas eve was spent with the Thomson clan as per usual. It was super duper loud and Zoe, who thrives in chaos (not surprising), still managed to get her nap in. She wore Christmas dress #1, which I managed to get green fabric paint on before we'd even left the house. (I made a beauty of an 'ugly' Christmas sweater... and forgot to let it dry.) But oh well, it's just a dress and it we did get pictures of her in it before the paint 'incident'.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Christmas dress #1 before the paint incident.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Christmas day started in Olds at Jason's grandparents, a nice quiet start to the morning where we made his aunt jealous of how awesome Zoe is at sleeping. I may need to start lying to people. But Zoe was once again adored and loved, and briefly wore Christmas dress #2. Briefly because of the long drive and I needed the dress to be wearable for the evening.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Zoe with Jason's Parents in Christmas dress #2.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Christmas evening was out to Grandma Edna's, to spend time with cousin Izzy. And most of the evening was spent just wearing diapers (both Zoe and Izzy) since it was so warm in the house. Not that they complained, I'm sure the freedom was well enjoyed.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Zoe being relaxed, hanging with Grandma and Papa. </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
Boxing day was then spent at my parents for a bit, because hey, let's spread Christmas out as long as possible. Though this one was very casual, and Zoe got to spend lots of time with her Aunty Meg (and Uncle Austin just patted Zoe on the head because she's such a good girl).<br />
<br />
Zoe's first Christmas was quite a big one and oh man did she get spoiled. But that of course is expected and very appreciated. She is one lucky little lady.<br />
<br />
And so ends Zoe's first Christmas. But with many firsts right around the corner, the next year is bound to be full of excitement and joy, and I'm sure the next few holiday seasons will get better and better as Zoe figures out what is going on.<br />
<br />
Right now our little family is enjoying some down time. We currently have a foster dog (5 year old chocolate lab) who is keeping Jackman entertained. Jason is going back to school in January for his second year electrical. And soon I will be back on the ice with all the little kids, doing a lot of playing and a little teaching.<br />
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">I should make an album of the billion tries it took for us to get a picture this good. We are not picture people.</td></tr>

Don't worry she still has moments where she spits up all over herself, while peeing all over the change table. But for the most part she is wonderful. </div>
<div>
Especially when we are out and about. I really don't care how fussy she is at home (I'm lying I do care, I like sleep), but when I need to go get groceries, or help Kiersty pick out skates, Zoe will sleep right through. Hallelujah.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Sorry to all those who look forward to these posts, I didn't realize until recently how long it had been. I do have a pretty good excuse though as to why I've been so busy. :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Soon I will have good pictures to post. I finally found my camera charger, which I have been looking for since she was born. I do have a mass of pictures on my phone, but it's just not the same as 'real' camera pictures.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
In case you're wondering Zoe, Jason and I are doing quite well. Jackman is also adjusting well. For the most part he sniffs her occasionally then goes and gets his toy. He really doesn't see any use for her so isn't to concerned. And Zoe is used to all of Jack's barking which she sleeps through. The only time she doesn't sleep is when it's quiet. </div>
<div>
Because of that we do have a fan going at night, that I now have pointed at the wall. It was nice during the last month, but now it's too cold to have a fan blowing I think. I will have to find a new source of background noise soon.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Zoe has been more than spoiled by everyone, which we are grateful for. She has many adorable outfits that she outgrowing as I write this.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
She has already spent a good portion of her time at the rink with me, but apparently not enough time. I have gone to the rink twice without her, and her presence has been requested. Everyone needs their baby cuddles and I don't blame them.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So yes, I'm back to work. I guess it's work, I've never really considered coaching work. It can be exhausting, but it's also a lot of fun. I get to build towers out of blocks and then let kids knock them down. Sometimes kids chase me around with magic wands and turn me into a frog. And I get paid for it. Be jealous.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It was super weird being away from Zoe for the hour or two I was out of the house. I had that nagging feeling I'd forgotten something. And it was weird just being on the ice again. I was pregnant for most of last season, so being on the ice not pregnant felt oddly freeing. I could move around and not be ridiculously concerned about tripping over my own feet. And I almost did fall on my arse the first day back. I wasn't doing anything, just standing, and my skate decided to slip out from under me, and I had to use the boards to catch myself. Clearly I don't have my balance back yet.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Other than that there's not much to talk about. It's regular life, but with a baby. So that means it's not regular, and everything revolves around her and whether or not she feels like sleeping, eating, or making a 'pants monster' (my code name for a messy diaper... I don't know where it came from). She is learning how to be awake a little more each day and isn't really sure how she feels about it yet. Doesn't know what to do with herself. </div>
<div>
And speaking of herself, what you've all been waiting for... BABY PICTURES!</div>

Just kidding, it's all good.<br />
I can't believe how fast this has gone by. I thought nine (ish) months would take it's sweet time, but apparently I was wrong.<br />
<br />
On the prepared front, the nursery is kind of coming together. By that I mean we have a crib, some sleepers and onesies (all washed and sorted by size), a few diapers, and some wipes. Pretty much all new babies need right? I do plan on having it painted before the wee one gets here, and I have the paint and everything I need, now I just need to find some time to do it. Did I say time? I meant ambition, apparently the nesting instinct isn't as strong with me.<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Look at the cute little baby booties I made!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
We also have a stroller, car seat, and play pen thanks to my wonderful relatives. These items are all set up around the house, hopefully so Jackman will get used to them. So far he doesn't seem to care.<br />
<br />
Today marks one week of my being temporarily unemployed. Last Friday was my last day at the paper. I figure once baby comes, coaching should keep me busy enough. And with that said, this will be the first time since I started coaching, about 6/7 years ago, that I will only have one job. I think my time will still be quite occupied though.<br />
<br />

Today I found some motivation, and managed to make a couple casseroles to freeze. And by a couple I mean a whole sh*t tonne of Chicken Divan casserole. And one Ham & Scalloped potato casserole just to mix things up.<br />
<br />

I'm not the best cook as it is (aka easily distracted), so I figured making some meals and freezing them beforehand would be a really good idea. I think I should have enough to get me by for a while now.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
I'm looking out my window as I write this and it's really hard not to notice the grossly dark clouds once again rolling into town. Thankfully my neighbourhood was one of the lucky ones yesterday when the storms rolled through. No damage here, and hopefully the clouds coming in bring nothing more than rain. During the first storm yesterday the noise of hail in other parts of town was loud enough to make it sound like the highway was going through my backyard and that was a little unsettling. But I am also glad I didn't wash my car yesterday morning like I planned on, because that would have been a waste of my time.<br />

It's almost ticklish. The wee one was doing it's best alien impressions last night, sticking out a limb as far as it can and running it up and down my sides.<br />
I've had a good amount of activity the whole pregnancy but it is becoming so entertaining to just sit and watch my beach ball these days.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm hitting 33 weeks (eeeek!) today. Tomorrow Jason and I have day 2 of baby & birthing classes to attend. We're doing the 'express' class, doing 4 Saturday's in a row, three hours each. In the first class I didn't really learn anything new, but it's nice just to be in a room full of people who are going through the same things at the same time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Also, when Jason first saw a little doll on the table he said "I hope we don't have to hold it, because it's going to look really bad when I drop it."</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I have little comments like that to look forward to each class, and believe me, he has insights in abundance. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Most days I've been hiding inside the house, but yesterday I was outside for most of it, I even put in a little garden in the corner. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm really quite thrilled to finally have a lawn, and the ability to landscape and play around with it and make it look awesome. And Jackman is also excited that he no longer has to worry about having his paws wiped every time he comes inside.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
We've had the sod down for over a week now, and most of it is doing pretty good, the only issue is I'm pretty sure Jackman's pee is killing it in a few places. We've taken to following him around with a watering can and I'm not really sure if it's working yet, but it does seem to confuse Jack. We keep taking away his smells.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

The fact that my schedule has opened up lately, does not make it any easier for me to keep track of the day. Or month. Or reality if I'm being totally honest.<br />
I've been doing a bit of reading lately, and between that and the crazy, vivid dreams, I'm not sure who I am some days.<br />
Thankfully one look down at the beach ball I'm growing and everything comes sharply back into focus. Except my feet. Those haven't been seen in awhile which could be why I'm prone to a missed step or two these days.<br />
Speaking of beach balls, here's a picture.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0Yu0tMSoe9cL65-6ZRrlrsD1myHwo17BSNmI1TQiyOWB-HHbOrC707ubq3GpRI8dtdRjUxkFHwn5Cemn-lJghCH0FucLF5pYWCuFDl6YNGzzSYA53yRterw4DQvF4SxPqCF_id95oV0Rz/s1600/20140612_220404.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0Yu0tMSoe9cL65-6ZRrlrsD1myHwo17BSNmI1TQiyOWB-HHbOrC707ubq3GpRI8dtdRjUxkFHwn5Cemn-lJghCH0FucLF5pYWCuFDl6YNGzzSYA53yRterw4DQvF4SxPqCF_id95oV0Rz/s1600/20140612_220404.jpg" height="320" width="215" /></a></div>
<br />
I don't even know what one would call that face.<br />
In other baby news all is still good. Baby is happily pushing on my bladder and ribs at the same time. On occasion it needs to press it's teeny-tiny bottom into view. I'm hitting my 29th week and feeling pretty decently. I mean, as great as one can feel while all their internal organs are being rearranged to fit a watermelon. I've pretty much sworn off pants at this point. Some may say being pregnant in the spring/summer is no fun, but I'm definitely enjoying the freedom of maxi dresses. Also my snowpants and coaching jacket no longer do up, so I'm thinking I would have some difficulties staying warm in the winter. Actually, no jacket I own does up... I just realized this. Oh well.<br />
<br />
The baby shopping has started as we bought our first box of diapers this weekend. It was exciting, but I'm guessing diaper buying won't stay exciting for long. More exciting than diapers was a diaper bag that I purchased online. Since I don't think the baby cares about bags, it was more of a purchase for me. Well it was totally a purchase for me, because Jason won't touch it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqwSZRjW4sh84b-kBCM01XgsS2TSivpStcaEfNjYrrQgs7VoTJplx3cAzs9GpuVOHCVKIt5Meor3wyWjhPeVqNVCd8Cb5vFM27mRxNdJ5h61sqEbx3-3q66UFStkDDqqQ5RlkCDw1XvJpY/s1600/20140610_151538.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqwSZRjW4sh84b-kBCM01XgsS2TSivpStcaEfNjYrrQgs7VoTJplx3cAzs9GpuVOHCVKIt5Meor3wyWjhPeVqNVCd8Cb5vFM27mRxNdJ5h61sqEbx3-3q66UFStkDDqqQ5RlkCDw1XvJpY/s1600/20140610_151538.jpg" height="201" width="320" /></a></div>
Isn't it wonderfully gorgeous? I definitely enjoy the retro pattern, while Jason thinks it looks quite similar to a lot of old sofas. But he has plans on getting his own 'tactical' diaper bag, which is A-ok with me.<br />
<br />
Other than baby happenings, not much to report. Jackman is still toy-obsessed, but is also really enjoying his new kiddie pool that keeps him cool. He enjoys bringing his toys into the little pool with him, so he can pounce on them in the muddy water.<br />
<br />
That's all for now.<br />
<br />
<br />
Peace&Love<br />

I mean even if there is only one or two nice days a week, at least spring is here once a week. That's pretty cool.<br />
<br />
I never claim to be technologically savvy. A computer I'm not to bad with, I can work quite a few programs at an above average level.<br />
Phones are my nemesis though. Especially iPhones. I have a Samsung S3 Mini, so in reality I'm sure it's not so different, as they are both touch screens and have apps and yada yada. But on Monday night I tried to use an iPhone to time some pre-hockey drills. (I would have used my phone, but I had accidentally left it at home... go me).<br />
So even though the app is pretty much the same on both phones, under the clock icon, I could NOT find it. I just sat there swiping away, panicking that I needed to find it fast to get rolling on all the testing I had to do. Thankfully the 7-year-old standing behind me new exactly where it was, and he just took over and found it for me. I'm pretty sure he thinks he's smarter than me now.<br />
<br />
So as you can see, I'm doing really well with this whole pregnancy brain thing. Just this morning I tried leaving the house without my keys. I had the grocery bags, the thing everyone forgets, but no keys.<br />
<br />
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Above is me about a week ago around 23 weeks. I'm now at 24 (obviously), and yesterday I had my first doctors appointment at the maternity care clinic, where I met one of the doctors who might deliver the wee one. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In case anyone is wondering I have gained a total of 7 lbs. so yes I am actually gaining weight. Both myself and baby are doing quite well. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So far I'm pretty happy with everyone (medically) that I've met, and I am appreciating the thoroughness of the system. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
To be honest I don't have a lot questions or concerns to go in with anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm one of the low maintenance patients, but still, I'm impressed with the friendliness and care I've received so far.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The only complaint I really have at this point is my lower back and hips are pretty sore. Mainly my hips just feel like they are falling apart, and that is an odd feeling.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Not uncommonly, sleep has started to be an issue because of shifting body parts, and I was trying to use regular pillows to get comfortable and hold myself in one position. That did not work though, as apparently regular pillows are really easy to kick off the bed and end up half way across the room. So I had to go out and pick up a body pillow and I will say it is helping a lot more than I thought it would.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
On the cravings front, I'm definitely addicted to frapucinnos. It's an actual heavenly moment the first sip I take of one each day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm still not craving pickles, and Jason is still waiting for me to crave pickles.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Baby is beating me up from the inside and packs quite a punch for something that weighs just over a pound. Baby also enjoys stretching full out which is one of those extremely weird/wonderful things of pregnancy.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Feel free to place any bets on the sex of the baby, because we are not finding out until it pops out.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I will take this time to wish all mother's a happy Mom's Day as it is coming up. Thanks to my Momma for the countless things she has done for me over the years! I really do appreciate everything and love you very much.<!--3--></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also just realized that this time next year I will be a Mom on Mother's day... and my Momma will be a Grandma! (and if you've talked to her in the last few months you will realize that being a grandma is a huge accomplishment to her.) Glad I can help with that. :)</div>

<br />
Anyway it's true, I am 21 weeks preggo and I'm finally starting to look preggo!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyki9eMtudwlcCXEqQW5MC_bMF324KiTRi8V1K7eLKgxCOQADNBuVqE0qOpKWWEj4LX2t6XHF-7fmpbB4E4nCBMX89_MnYLE-hKuwEQbnVjsZOPhSpjShMdn5KGNxvv5YYUUQ8oGA-H_cS/s1600/21+Weeks+Preggo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyki9eMtudwlcCXEqQW5MC_bMF324KiTRi8V1K7eLKgxCOQADNBuVqE0qOpKWWEj4LX2t6XHF-7fmpbB4E4nCBMX89_MnYLE-hKuwEQbnVjsZOPhSpjShMdn5KGNxvv5YYUUQ8oGA-H_cS/s1600/21+Weeks+Preggo.jpg" height="320" width="176" /></a></div>
Even though I don't look impressed in this picture, I am happy about it. I just really need to concentrate when taking pictures with my phone. Probably why I don't take selfies. Or it could be I think selfies are stupid, and a perfect example of a self(ie)-serving generation. But that's another rant for another day.<br />
<br />
I'm definitely feeling some baby movement and it's getting more and more intense every day. I like to freak Jason out by wandering around with my belly showing, talking about the movement as much as I can. Scary for him, entertainment for me. I'm sure he'll get with the program once the wee one is here, until then, I should start hiding baby paraphernalia in his stuff. Maybe a diaper (unused, don't be gross people) in his lunch bag. That should make his day.<br />
On the plus side, Jason is being super sweet and making me supper almost every night, even though we have total opposite schedules and diet plans. His plan is no carbs, mine is any food I want. It's working out wonderfully, because if I had to cook for myself, I'd be eating a lot more take out.<br />
<br />
Not much in other baby related news. I have plans for the baby's room, but have done nothing to start them yet. I'll wait until coaching is over and I have more free time.<br />
<br />
I heartily enjoyed last weekend with quite a few of the ladies from my family as we partook in a girls weekend in Canmore. Our spa day on Saturday was the most relaxing pampered time I've ever had or even dreamed of. I can't wait to maybe do another one next year.<br />

This was the view from our balcony. Impressive right?<br />
<br />
That is all for me today.<br />

Did you know they deliver parcels at 7:40 am? I did not. And if they are going to do that, I think a notice should be given. Because my house was very confused as to what was happening this morning when the doorbell rang, repeatedly. Jason almost went to answer the door in my house coat before I told him to lie back down. (Though I almost should have let it happen, but I might have had to cut it off him... now we'll never know).<br />
Jackman, while sniffing the delivery man, managed to pee all over the floor, and I didn't notice until I stepped in it. Who can blame him though, he had also just woken up and was more confused than anyone.<br />
<br />
The rest of the day ended up progressing smoothly. I paced myself and actually got some stuff done around the house, put the laundry away, cleaned the kitchen and rearranged everything on the counter, much to Jason's dismay. A few other things done to. Which I'll be honest, seems like nothing, but in the mornings before I go coach, I'm learning to pace myself. If I don't pace myself, I'll be so worn out by lunch that I'll want to just sleep the rest of the day.<br />
And to be honest I did end up napping today, but it was a planned nap so it's okay.<br />
<br />
Did some coaching this afternoon. Always enjoyable. Also enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weather this afternoon. Everything is always better splashed in sunshine.<br />
<br />
I'm very much looking forward to a girls weekend coming up. As in I sooooooo can't wait to relax and get a little pampered.<br />
<br />
Coming up on Wednesday I will be 20 weeks in. Though you probably wouldn't know it to look at me. Both baby and I are healthy in case you are wondering, things are moving along nicely. I am pretty sure I'm starting to feel some movements in there to. Kinda like a pulse in my uterus. It's a little weird, the good kind though.<br />
<br />
On another side of weird, I watched my dog repeatedly scratch his ear, then smell his paw tonight. I'm not really sure how to feel about that.<br />
<br />
It's getting close to my bed time, so I think I will leave you with that tonight.<br />
<br />
Peace&Love<br />

So today we will take a look at the lighter side of coaching.<br />
As many of you may know, I am expecting. (YAY)<br />
I'm 16 weeks along in case you are keeping track.<br />
<br />
Well being that I am a little more fragile than usual, I had to tell a few of our power skating groups to be extra careful around me. Basically to remember to use their brakes and try not to slam into me.<br />
With that being said, most of the groups are boys between the ages of 6-12, so they aren't really aware of the birds and the bees yet.<br />
After Lynnell (the other power coach) informed a few skaters that I was pregnant, one of the skaters looked right at me and said<br />
"You're not pregnant."<br />
Somewhat taken aback I responded "Yes I actually am."<br />
"No, you don't look pregnant."<br />
"Well, it's still early, but I am pregnant."<br />
" I don't believe you, I don't think you're pregnant."<br />
And that was the end of that conversation. I just said alright, don't believe me. lol<br />
<br />
Just a week later that same kid looks at me and asks "Are you still pregnant?"<br />
Ummm... "Yes, I will be pregnant until August."<br />
He said okay and skated off. I guess he believes me now.<br />
<br />
It's much easier to tell the kids to be careful around me because I'm not wearing a helmet, because they can understand that and see it.<br />
This whole pregnancy thing, is a little bigger of a concept.<br />
<br />
Another kid asked if I was worried about my baby just slipping out.<br />
I informed him, that no, babies do not just slip out.<br />
And then I quickly made them go skate before any more questions could be asked.<br />
<br />
So there is my lighter side for the night.<br />
I am pretty tired, and it is close to my bed time, so I will bid you adieu.<br />
<br />
Peace&Love<br />
